Your brand on the kiln, not just on the box.
Three customization tiers, one production discipline: logo-only programs on stock molds in weeks; full ODM development — new mold, custom glaze, branded packaging — with a signed golden sample before mass production.
How deep should your customization go?
The honest ladder — start where your volume justifies stopping.
Logo on stock
Stock molds and glazes with your decal logo, etched signature or stamped mark. Fastest path to a branded line; MOQ stays near stock levels.
- Decal / laser-etch / stamp options
- Stock glaze palette, sample-first
Semi-custom
Stock molds with your glaze colors and packaging. Custom glaze development runs from a color target to kiln trials — variation bands agreed in writing.
- Custom glaze from Pantone / physical target
- Branded boxes, inserts, unboxing copy
Full ODM
New mold development to your drawings: silhouette, rim profile, handle, capacity. The longest lead path — and the only one that produces a shape nobody else sells.
- 3D model to plaster mold to trial firing
- Mold ownership terms written into the PI

From color target to kiln reality.
A screen color is not a glaze. Development runs in test-tile rounds: base recipe, firing, adjustment, repeat — then a variation band so both sides know what "matching" means in production.
- Test-tile rounds on your target body and firing curve
- Food-contact tested with your decoration in place — reports available on request
- Written variation band for reactive and hand-mixed glazes
What a custom program looks like in writing.
Spec & feasibility
Drawings, references or a physical sample. We return mold feasibility, glaze path, MOQ and a tiered price.
Mold & trials
New molds cut; trial firings produce first articles. You approve form before glaze work scales.
Golden sample
The signed golden sample defines color, rim, weight and finish. Production is inspected against it.
Pilot run
A controlled first batch with inline checks — the cheapest moment to catch systematic issues.
Scale & reorder
Reorders run against the same golden sample and mold set, with AQL pre-shipment inspection each time.
| Tier | Typical MOQ per item | Typical development path | IP position |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logo on stock | ~500 pcs typical | Decal proof → signed sample | Design stays on open market; logo exclusivity by agreement |
| Semi-custom glaze | 1000–3000 pcs typical | Test-tile rounds → variation band → golden sample | Glaze recipe stays with the kiln; exclusivity window negotiable |
| Full ODM | 1000–3000 pcs typical | Mold → trials → golden sample → pilot | Mold ownership and exclusivity written into the PI |
MOQ and lead-time bands are typical, not guaranteed — complexity (handles, lids, multi-part sets) moves both. Final numbers are confirmed per SKU in the quotation.
Custom program questions.
Can you match a physical sample I already have?+
Yes — a physical reference is the best brief. We run glaze trials against your target on the same body and firing curve, then return first articles for approval before any mass production discussion.
Who owns the mold after development?+
Whatever the purchase order says. Mold ownership and any exclusivity window are written into the PI — this is one of the clauses we insist on making explicit, because ambiguous mold ownership is a classic dispute source.
Can my custom line stay food-contact compliant?+
Compliance is built into the development path: your decoration and glaze are tested together against the standard your market requires (FDA 21 CFR 109.16, EC 84/500/EEC, LFGB, CA Prop 65), and per-batch reports are available on request.
How do reorders stay consistent?+
Reorders run against the same golden sample, mold set and written variation band, with AQL pre-shipment inspection each cycle. Consistency is a documents problem before it is a production problem.
Bring the idea; we will bring the kilns.
Drawings, a photo, or a competitor sample — any of them starts the feasibility answer: mold path, glaze options, MOQ and tiered price.
